Position: SaaS Sales Executive, Private Sector (Remote with the US)

Streetlight Data is seeking a Private Sector Sales Representative to join our team, selling enterprise SaaS and related mobility data offerings to key commercial Fortune 500 clients.

As a member of StreetLight’s Private Sector Sales Team, you will promote smart mobility technology solutions to enterprise clients while becoming a leader in our forward-thinking, data-driven organization. StreetLight’s private sector clients are at the leading edge of adopting Big Data solutions at scale, and StreetLight offers a highly differentiated solution to this growing industry. That means we need savvy, sophisticated sales professionals who can close complex deals and sell and deliver value.

A successful Private Sector Sales Representative has a proven track record of achieving and surpassing quota goals and has demonstrated the ability to identify and close new, high-value opportunities. Previous experience selling SaaS is required, and experience in selling Big Data and/or analytics to large commercial organizations is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and validate new vertical market opportunities and expand existing relationships for the StreetLight Data product and service offerings to be sold to partners through annual and multi-year contracts as well as value-added solutions.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive ecosystem strategy around StreetLight’s offerings while surpassing goals and revenue targets for selected, high-potential vertical markets.

  • Carry individual quota and manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification to close for partner opportunities and other assigned strategic accounts.

  • Work closely with finance, technical and legal colleagues, as well as other cross-functional teams, to creatively propose solutions and negotiate commercial terms and contracts with prospective customers.

  • Clearly articulate StreetLight’s value proposition as it relates to each prospect’s business needs.

  • Keep up to date with market trends and new developments; utilize this information for business development and improvement.

  • Attend relevant industry trade shows to identify new prospective customers, and promptly follow up on leads from various sources.

  • Consistently maintain sales opportunity and customer status information in StreetLight’s customer relationship management (CRM) system.

  • Provide accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts in your specified territory and update management, operations and support staff concerning account issues and financial status as necessary.

  • Process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, and sales contracts accurately and on a timely basis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or engineering, or related.

  • 5 + years of experience in complex sales to customers in the technology industry (Big Data and/or analytics) as well as transportation, urban planning, or architectural-related field. Experience selling to and working with high-net-worth corporate customers is highly desirable.

  • Working knowledge of product sales that includes application programming interfaces (API), a strong plus.

  • Demonstrable ability to accurately forecast revenue.

  • A self-starter that can aggressively "hunt and close" in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to capture the big picture through a strategic lens and effectively translate complex technical solutions into a clear business value.

  • Proven over-achievement with responsibility for a multimillion-dollar quota.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be fluent in English.

  • Comfortable presenting to senior executive management and large audiences.

  • Strong financial skills.

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to influence and manage multiple priorities are essential.

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% or as needed to achieve objectives.

The salary for this role is $240,000-$260,000 OTE.
