Do you enjoy positively impacting air traveler experience by innovating more connected and sustainable solutions? At Jacobs, we do as well and are seeking a Senior Aviation Terminal Project Manager to join our team with a purpose.

Based at our Chicago O’Hare Project office, you’ll have the chance to work on an exciting and engaging large-scale aviation project. Our team is looking for a Senior Terminal Project Manager in support of a multi-billion-dollar airport capital redevelopment program. The redevelopment will occur in the middle of an active airport. The existing terminal and concourses will remain operational while the new facility is built in place in a phased approach. You'll have the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team.

You’ll grow your skills and join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design and project management. You’ll also direct and coordinate the activities of 3rd party designers, other consultants, assistant project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure project progresses safely, on schedule and within prescribed budget, maintaining expected quality and customer service level outcomes.

The position will be as part of a joint venture team and the selected candidate may be hired by one of the JV partners.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in an architecture, aviation or program management related field.

  • 15 or more years of progressive management experience in Aviation Projects with a focus on terminals

  • Knowledge and experience in design and or construction of terminals, airport facilities, airside works, landside works, and or airport planning with an emphasis on previous terminal management experience

  • Specific knowledge of major terminal components and their functionality including optimal configuration of terminal elements, understanding of major systems, security requirements (TSA & CBP), passenger processing, gate & holdroom configurations, baggage systems, concessions, APM’s, etc.

  • General design and construction knowledge, leadership, oral and written communication skills, planning, team work, decision making, judgment, and problem solving

  • Experience with large aviation capital programs from a program management, design, construction, and operational perspective

  • Significant experience planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of projects from design thru construction to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

  • Ability to practically apply extensive knowledge to complex problems

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills

  • Licensure as an architect

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
