Launch Test Vehicle Tech

Position will support testing operations at the Launch Test Capability facility. Candidate will work in a team environment on test ranges to execute launch test operations. Candidate will provide support for ongoing safety program including safety walk-throughs, safe plans of action, and verification of compliance on all safety related deficiencies. This position requires a motivated candidate that is team-oriented, organized, able to communicate effectively to all levels of individuals within an organization and able to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Perform hardware assembly and fabrication of designed systems
Use of hand-held power tools and manual tools for mechanical assembly and cleaning
Perform launch test vehicle refurbishment, including painting, sanding, and body work
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Academic or trade school courses in engineering, engineering technology or equivalent, and hands on experience with painting and body work desired.
Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and must understand the processes involved with the use and testing of military ordnance systems and components, to include recognition of a safe policies and practices.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance required.

Combination of inside office environment and difficult outdoor conditions (Considerations: cold, heat, wind)
Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills
Need to work well with, co-operate, and support clients, supervisors, and co-workers
Equipment and Machines Involved in Work Tasks
Must be able to handle heavy instrumentation equipment.
Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation
Working from scaffolding and man-lifts
Criticality of Attendance
Normal hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm, non-flex Fridays 7:00am to 4:00pm
Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines
Regular attendance is necessary and required
Occasional overtime required

Current driver’s license, car registration and auto insurance required
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an interim and a permanent U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
