Your Impact:
We are seeking an Architectural Technologist / Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Onsite/Hybrid) to join our Cincinnati, Ohio location. As a Technologist SME you will be leading architectural efforts and building strong client relationships on the front end of Life Sciences building projects for nationwide and global projects. In this role, you’ll contribute significantly to the development of client relationships. We’ll ask you to participate in sales activity, helping to win the work and support proposal development and take part in presentations. With your technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, you will build critical client relationships while helping to shape their needs and desires within their financial resources. You’ll communicate with clients and user groups to understand project requirements, and prepare client presentations, illustrative design studies and reports.
Traditional architectural services are part of the responsibilities. On projects you will lead the front-end architectural effort with master planning and programming efforts and follow the projects into the design phases with continued consulting support to the full design team. You’ll provide mentorship and share knowledge with the design teams and within the architectural department.
You’ll stay on the leading edge of your field and be involved in the industry representing Jacobs at conferences and events. Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Registered Architect
• At least 15 years’ experience working in an EPCM industry environment preferred
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks (or similar)
• Expert Experience with building codes and specifications
• Expert understanding of building materials and systems and methods of construction.
• Expert understanding of integration of building services, building core and envelope element
• Expert knowledge of and conversant in sustainability and energy conservation matters
• Experience in programming
• Experience with complex building projects
• Experience designing industrial facilities
• Life Sciences with Bio Tech Skill set
• Experience in SketchUp, Bluebeam Revue, other modeling and rendering software
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Master’s degree in Architecture preferred
• NCARB certification preferred
• Leadership skills
• Outstanding communication skills; including speaking and presentation skills
