We are looking for a driven and client-focused Superintendent to grow with our team, in Ohio and throughout the United States.

You will have the chance to work on a large water and wastewater design-build projects. These exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects will utilize your construction supervision and focus to help ensure safe and efficient delivery in the field.

As part of the design-build team, you’ll work with the best professionals in the business and report to the Design-Build Manager. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

Your role will be to coordinate subcontractors throughout construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover to the owner. Following the project scope, schedules and budgets, you will ensure the construction remains on task. Your involvement from pre-bid and pre-construction meetings utilizing your vast experience within construction contract negotiation and administration while working with various stakeholders ensures that your skills are fully utilized. Client presentations, running weekly construction meetings, and applying critical thinking skills to resolve problems out in the field on the project are tasks associated with this role.

Here’s Also What You’ll Do:

· Work with project manager to ensure implementation of the safety and quality programs.

· Plan, coordinate, and supervise the field activities of the project.

· Coordinate between design engineers, project engineers, and subcontractors to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.

· Manage and update the overall project schedule including 3-week lookahead schedules

· Monitor and report on project progress.

· Understand the contractual requirements, scope of work for Jacobs’ and individual subcontractors, and participate in administration of subcontracts and purchase orders.

· Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.

· Participate in risk management and mitigation throughout the life of the project.

· Proactively manage and resolve potential problems, work interferences, and schedules conflicts/setbacks.

· Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.

· Support business development activities as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need :

·

· At least 10 years of superintendent or construction management experience in construction and administration of large multimillion-dollar projects in water / wastewater.

· Understanding of project scope, engineering drawings and specifications, and construction materials.

· Proficient knowledge in scheduling and schedule logic.

· Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors in schedule development and execution of the work in the field.

· Knowledge of pre-construction delivery with ability to provide constructability reviews as design progresses.

· Experience in Alternative Project Delivery, including progressive design-build or design-build-operate

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery that includes high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, some defined confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals as you would come to expect in the water and wastewater design build industry.
