Within our Mechanical Department in the Italy office, we are looking for Junior HVAC Design Engineer.

The Junior HVAC Design Engineer will develop HVAC and Mechanical designs. The successful candidate will join motivated project teams with technical competence and interpersonal sensitivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop project of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems

  • Develop design criteria and airflow balance and energy calculations

  • Promote sustainable design solutions

  • Prepare technical specifications, descriptions, scope of work, bill of quantities, etc. of HVAC services and all related infrastructure services

  • Develop A&FDs and P&IDs in accordance with the design scope and requirements

  • Participate in the design coordination activities with other engineering disciplines

  • Perform technical alignment and bid tabulation for tender packages for order placement

  • Follow-up of HVAC contractors and engineering support to construction activities

  • Perform daily work with local and international consultants

  • Interact actively with the 3D modelling teams to ensure conveyance of information

  • Attend regularly to Client and Stakeholder coordination meetings jointly with the Lead HVAC engineer

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices

  • Able to read and interpret Plumbing and Firefighting P&ID’s and drawings wherever required


Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering

  • Technical background with a minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC design

  • Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written)

  • Experience in both local and international projects

  • Knowledge in national and international standard technical codes (ASHRAE, Energy and Sustainability codes, ISO standards related to the technical sector, GMP’s, NFPA, FMG)

  • Revit MEP basic knowledge and specialized collaborative platforms (BIM360, ACC, Naviswork, Revizto)

  • Availability to national and international missions

Following capabilities will be considered a valuable plus:

  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals and Data Centers projects

  • Design software experience for Heating and Cooling loads calculation and Energy Modelling (IES, HAP), CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) Analysis

  • Basic Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) & Control Systems for the Systems Testing and Commissioning
