Jacobs in Italy is currently looking to hire Project Engineer.

Key duties of the role include:

  • Support the Project Manager and/or the Engineering Manager in the technical management of the project to hit targets: costs, time schedule, performance and quality, zero incidents

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and/or the Engineering Manager in project planning

  • Facilitate, monitor and guarantee the correct flow of information among all project team (Jacobs team, Consultants, Client and Vendors)

  • Monitor the design progress and coordinate the activities of all engineering disciplines

  • Manage the Project Deliverable List as a live document all along the project duration

  • Manage the Coordination Documents (Equipment Layout, Equipment List, etc…) and guarantee their continuous update

  • Directly manage P&IDs (Master Copy) or monitor their management

  • Support the Procurement in the coordination of all engineering disciplines (consistency of the tender documentation, bids alignment, negotiations, vendor follow-up)

  • With support of the Project Manager and the Quality Manager, identify and put in place corrective actions to project concerns

  • Whenever necessary assume the role of Field Project Engineer and support Construction Management staff for site activities

This position reports directly to the Manager of Project Engineers and to the Project Manager when assigned to projects.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree in Engineering

  • At least 5 years of experience in the design of industrial projects

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Buildings and Logistic business would be an asset

  • Knowledge of technical and commercial obligations

  • Experience in setting, development, evaluation and implementation of technical specs and documentation for RfQ (Request for Quotation)

  • Experience in technical bid analysis and support to procurement

  • Coordination skills and ability to motivate team members on defined goals

  • Problem solving attitude

  • Accountability on schedule and costs

  • Knowledge in local and international technical codes

Other requirements:

  • Fluent English and Italian languages knowledge is a must

  • Availability to frequent travels or short/long term assignments abroad is required by the position

  • Strong communication skills

  • High level of Safety Awareness
