Within our Process Department in the Italy office, we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer.

The Senior Process Engineer will coordinate and supervise the development of Process design providing guidance and technical leadership throughout the project development, with the right commitment on time, productivity, and quality in accordance with specific design criteria and client requirements.

They will manage, lead and motivate project teams by means of technical competence, interpersonal sensitivity and conflict management skills.

Key duties of the role include:

  • Lead the Process design group assigned to a Project and interact and coordinate with other Engineering Disciplines, according to the Project schedule and deliverables;

  • Perform Process activities, e.g. definition of design criteria and User Requirements in cooperation with the Clients, process calculations, simulations, equipment sizing, Process flow diagrams, P&ID’s, data sheets of equipment, instruments and safety devices, functional descriptions

  • Perform technical alignments and bid tabulation of Vendors quotation packages for cost estimate and/or for order placement, also in cooperation with other disciplines

  • Follow-up of Process Equipment Suppliers/Process and pure fluids plants contractors and engineering support to construction activities

  • Actively attend project workshops e.g. P&ID review, Hazid, Hazop, etc;

  • Promote sustainable design solutions and take part of the Design Sustainable Reviews

  • Lead Jacobs internal education and training courses according to the Discipline Training Plan

  • Support and mentor junior engineers

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Master of Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering), with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of process systems in Pharmaceutical/Nutritional/Medical devices

  • Knowledge of relevant cGMP requirements and ISPE Baselines

  • Software knowledge: Office; Super Pro(R) & Schedule Pro(R), PipeFlo, Flexsim, or other process engineering simulations software

  • Fluency in English. Italian knowledge extremely fluent/mother tongue

  • Willingness to work in an international company, to share and capitalize expertise with other Jacobs offices

  • Availability to travel in Italy and Europe for short/medium time assignments

  • Fluency in German will be considered a valuable plus
