Spatial Coordinator role is to provide specialist support to the Milan Operations Engineering Group in the execution of our 3D design activities, during all project phases from Basis of Design to Construction Assistance. It is intended that the successful candidate will provide technical leadership and deliver a consistent approach to this critical delivery element across our project portfolio. This role is of central importance to our Digital Transformation Strategy as we strive for project delivery excellence and technical innovation.

Key duties of this role include:

  • Support development of project 3D Model review strategy in coordination with Project Controls, Engineering and Construction

  • Management of 3D Model development/review process as per project BIM Execution Plan and timely resolution of coordination issues

  • Active management of multi-disciplinary services coordination and chair of internal and client 3D coordination meetings in cooperation with the BIM Coordinator

  • Define the spatial strategy for each discipline

  • Management of model review meetings, attendee lists, close out of comments

  • Support BIM Coordinator in generation of summary metrics demonstrating review progress and timely issue resolution

  • Management of the clash and issue resolution/adjudication process using ACC, Revizto or other tools

  • Liaise directly with the client BIM/Spatial coordinator to agree principles/typical details for disciplines to follow

  • Work with Project BIM team to run QC checks on disciplines modeling

  • Actively liaise with disciplines to avoid clashes

  • Work with disciplines to resolve design issues

  • "Lean” execution in an EPCMV environment

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Good understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering design process and deliverables

  • Pharmaceutical project experience (5 years) - Data center project experience could be an asset

  • Knowledge of Process & Mechanical design documents e.g. P&IDs AF&IDs

  • Experience in the use of engineering applications such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Revizto, Revit, Autocad Plant 3D etc.

  • Self-motivated and results focused with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Progressive mindset towards innovation and technology enabled execution and high attention to details

  • Good technical and management skills including problem solving and decision making

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • High Level of Safety Awareness

  • Fluent English and Italian languages' knowledge is a must; German language knowledge could be an asset

  • Availability to frequent travels or short/long term assignments abroad
