Job Description

Under governmental direction, provide dedicated, on-site support for customized applications, interfaces, and software administration requested by United States Space Force. Interact with government customers to support PEX implementation, upgrades and disposition. Supervises the performance of data tasks. Supervise off-site staff for compliance with Project Work Scope and government customer directives. Ensures data is captured and managed effectively, and that all data loading, validation, and analysis activities adhere to procedures and quality control standards.

Typical Duties

Work scope may include any/all of the following duties:

  • Manage off-site Data Engineering personnel while being responsible for developing procedures for administering user accounts, importing, downloading, assigning training materials and profiles, along with establishing system default permissions. Manage security permission levels, user lists and access levels. Take Squadron and Delta needs and policies into account when administering user access to the PEX system.

  • Coordinate PEX system updates with government customer and local IT departments

  • Develop and employ PEX security Standard Operating Procedures which will be leveraged to ensure the integrity of the PEX system for Data Engineers and customers.

  • Perform monthly unit data audits to include task/mission, training, evaluation inputs ensure compliance with Space Force directives

  • Troubleshoot PEX software problems found by the user at the unit or squadron to provide problem identification, resolution and tracking to include logging the problem, duplicating through testing and analyzing until a resolution is found

  • Manages workflows and processes to meet production targets. Oversees the generation of reports for stakeholders or administration and interfaces with those parties to implement any changes or new initiatives to include programs such as Status of Resources and Training System or other government training reporting systems

  • Represent PEX Engineering team during meetings, briefings and conferences

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Education Desired/Required:

Master's degree or Bachelor's degree and three (3) to ten (10) years of experience in a leadership/supervisor role and/or customer/systems support. Three (3) to five (5) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted for the degree.

Required Clearance

  • Must have a current TS/SCI+ Clearance

Experience Required

Knowledge, skills & abilities required/desired:

  • 10 years of leadership/supervisor position and/or customer/systems support

  • Troubleshoot complex PEX software, hardware problems

  • Maintain control and cognizance over United States Government unclassified/classified data.

  • Previous PEX experience preferred

Training & Certifications

None required

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements:

Light - some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meetings and/or training users. Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently to move objects. Exposed to computer monitors, copy machine, and constant wrist movement. Operates typical office equipment such as computers, copiers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment:

Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Cubical environment in a confined/restricted work area.

Equipment and Machines:

Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.

Attendance:

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.

Must be able to work within the shift hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

May be required to work outside of normal shift hours when required for mission support.

Must be flexible to support the customer.
