Jacobs is seeking a DevSecOps Pipeline Development SME to support the newly awarded NISSC II contract. Your career at Jacobs enables NISSC to fulfill its mission to “provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites.” As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.
The DevSecOps Pipeline Development SME Independently evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standard techniques and criteria in order to plan and conduct engineering assignment. Independently plans, schedules, and conducts or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria. Analyzes complex features of the work and applies principles and practices of the discipline or devises new approaches in problem solutions. Thoroughly reviews all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.
Typical Duties Include:
Work with a team in the containerization of USAF Mission systems and supporting COTS / GOTS into a new VMware Tanzu Platform and Application Structure
Responsible for bringing to life a fully functional mission system and applicable COTS / GOTS containers
Responsible for meeting quarterly deadlines to create and enhance the Mission systems
Responsible to complete the VMware Tanzu Platform Navigator and Application Navigator including identifying follow on Agile backlog to be completed in each increment
Responsible to maintain compatibility / interoperability of all created containers with adjacent SDDC and mission systems that are not containerized or are not container eligible
Responsible to maintain compatibility / interoperability of all created blueprints with adjacent mission systems that do not have current blueprints or are not blueprint eligible
Execute all efforts in a collaborative and Scaled Agile fashion while adhering to government mandated fixed due dates
Work with Agile teams (developers, testers, operators and other production IT staff to oversee code releases and deployments of capability.
Foster agile relationship between software development and IT operations, establish and refine Continuous Integration (CI) and automation (key processes, release schedules, and infrastructure designs) so that organization can create and release regular updates to products quickly and efficiently as possible.
Attend and participate in periodic large Scale Agile Planning events (PI Planning).
Support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Sprints.

Significant relevant experience in supporting sustainment of DoD mission systems/subsystems. Such as Web Based and non-Web Based Missile Warning Systems
Demonstrated experience leading a team in the Mission system aspects of designing and implementing mission system enhancements for a DoD Customer
Experience sustaining and modernizing mission systems in a DoD Airgap
Ability to lead a team of mission assurance engineers to a successful Agile ‘Definition of Done’ within each Sprint and Program increment
Understanding of System Development LifeCycle (SDLC) process in a DoD context including custom testing processes from the 45 th and 17 th Test Squadrons
Significant knowledge on how to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in DoD Air Gapped test and production environments
Hands on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines in a DoD context (i.e. DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Initiative (DSOP), USAF PlatformONE / Kobayashi Maru, DI2E, Tanzu, Cloud Native Computing Foundation)
Hands on experience with DoD Cyber security requirements including STIG, Scan, and static code remediation
Working in scaled Agile environment frameworks such as SAFe.
Comprehensive background in OS administration RHEL and Windows 10 / Server products
Understanding of coding and scripting with common languages; Knowledge of relevant major coding languages (e.g. PowerShell, JS)
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of DoD Cyber security requirements including STIG, Scan, and static code remediation within a containerized environment
Experience with a range of Tanzu products (e.g. Tanzu Application Service, Tanzu Build Service, Tanzu Application Catalogue, Tanzu Data services, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, Tanzu Mission Control, Tanzu Observability, Tanzu Service Mesh)
Experience with a range of Tanzu FOSS subcomponents (e.g. Kubernetes; Harbor for container registry; Velero for backup and recovery; Sonobuoy for conformance; Cluster API for lifecycle management; Open Policy Agent for policy enforcement; and Antrea for container networking)
Experience with a range of automation and configuration management tools including but not limited to vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations, Ansible, SCCM, Jenkins, puppet, and others
Ability to identify, assess and integrate various open-source technologies and private cloud services (VMware Software defined Data Center VMware Cloud Foundation)
Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).
Work assignments vary based on client requirements.
Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions
Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot, dusty, cold, icy and windy climates.
Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.
May require climbing, working at heights and in small confined spaces such as under raised floors, inside closets and server racks. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel or crouch for long periods of time. Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperature than standard office environmental conditions. Lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory.
Shift Work is required to support operations. The candidate chosen for this position will work varying shifts

You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work
Position may require night and weekend work and could include travel with the military to participate in operations/exercises located in areas with field conditions
- Continental and Oversees travel may be required. It is important to maintain a current passport.
Other Essential Functions
Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.

The position for which you are applying for requires a US government security clearance. This position is expected to pay $105,000-$120,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
