The government client requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for any/all positions that will require travel.

Full vaccination (against COVID-19) is defined as: an individual must be either two weeks past the last shot of a two-shot vaccination sequence, or two weeks past the only shot of a one-shot vaccination sequence.

Description of Duties:

The Junior (MDS) Cyber Sustainment Analyst supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

  • Support development of cyberspace security strategies and plans for the MDA.

  • Track, document, and advocate for proper and timely equipping, training, and other related DCO/CSSP support functions.

  • Assist in the development of subordinate standard operating procedures and polices to facilitate the increased capability of the Missile Defense Systems (MDS) CSSP.

  • Recommend actions and activities to help improve/streamline/repair existing processes and implementation procedures.

  • Provide methodologies and direction to customer in support of Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) activities.

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, negotiate complex issues, and write comprehensive polices.

  • Have strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into tactical and operational requirements.

  • Prepare and present briefings, reports, informational analyses in support of MDA and the MDS CSSP.

  • Perform records management of sustainment related deliverables and documentation.

  • Ensure adherence to Government policies, schedules, and develop solutions to program problems.

  • Be able to present reports and presentations in a clear, articulate and concise manner.

  • Assist in the authoring and peer-review of cyber security polices and detailed procedures that include step-by-step instructions for using advanced cyber security tools.

  • Enhance cyber security testing processes and procedures through feedback and implementation.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience with most MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).

  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize various projects and assignments in a dynamic work environment in order to meet scheduled/unscheduled customer requests.

  • Be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement with minimal supervision.

  • Be able to travel 25% of the time.

This position will be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO

This position is expected to pay $79,700 - $89,700 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 1 year of general experience; Associate's degree, or higher, and 0 years of general experience

  • If this position requires travel selected candidate must be willing to provide proof of fully vaccinated (against COVID-19) status? (the process of which must be completed prior to the anticipated start date)

  • Must have 2 years of experience in an engineering field

  • Must have a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and active DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • Have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field

  • Be familiar with Security Operations Centers (SOC)/DoD

  • Be familiar with DCO/Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP)-guiding security policies and procedures

  • Understand fundamental concepts of software design and implementation

  • Have knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment

  • Be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
