Description of Duties:

The Mission Assurance Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

· Possess the ability to work closely with systems, electrical and mechanical engineers as well as facility operations and maintenance personnel and teams

· Apply Mission Assurance best practices to requirements definition, design, implementation, and verification of infrastructure and facility projects

· Perform Mission Assurance impact assessments and adjudicate issues with multiple mission partners in support of infrastructure projects

· Integrate and communicate with base civil engineering and communications squadrons in order to synchronize base and infrastructure projects against MDA research and development events

· Develop and maintain documentation such as updated processes, requirements traceability matrices, Mission Assurance checklists, executive briefs, etc.

· Adhere to all organizational environmental and safety programs

On-site Support on weekends and/or after-hours as required by specific projects (approximately 5-10% of the time; Compensatory Time and Flex Time available)

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

This position is expected to pay $86,500 - $111,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 4 years of general experience

· Must have 6 years of related experience

· Demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of government facility operations and systems

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and SharePoint

· Must have an active DoD Secret, or higher, security clearance.

Desired Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering field, and 5 years of systems engineering or related experience

· Demonstrated ability to clearly present and articulate solutions to government customers and stakeholders (individually, as a high-level brief, and/or to a large group)

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to closely interact and engage with a wide variety of mission partners

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and implement tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and work well in a team environment.
