Description of Duties:
The Quality Assurance Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
Provide management oversight for the Infrastructure and IT Quality Assurance team.
Be responsible for ensuring the development of procedures to ensure that quality standards are engineered into the project life cycle and verify they are consistently executed across the team.
Develop, compile and deliver useful metrics to leadership for a clear understanding of program status.
Identify knowledge gaps and provide useful training to the QA team.
Perform spot checks of completed audits to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistence of team activities.
Work with Project Managers, Cable Plant Management, Engineers, Managers and Contract Leadership to ensure stakeholder expectations are being met and to facilitate QA requirements.
Perform process audits for compliance with AS9100D.
Accomplish audits involving IT services such as: change requests throughout hardware installation, computer rack configuration, cabling, change/configuration management, and the change life cycle.
Complete daily in-process inspections for on-going Facility projects for Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and other aspects of construction projects to evaluate subcontractor methods, workmanship, quality, and conformance with code and project specifications.
Execute electronic and physical drawing audits as well as electronically and physically tracing electrical circuits using Power Panel Schedules (PPSs), single-line drawings, and database entries.
Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor in interacting with a wide variety of people.
Possess ability to work independently with little oversight or supervision and as a team member.
Receive direction, guidance, monitoring, and control of this function from the QA Lead and other managers within the IRES contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:
Be organized and able to juggle multiple assignments as you will need to stay on top of several components of the job simultaneously, and switch from one task to another throughout the day.
Understand that accuracy is most important in your role to help ensure correctness and support expedited follow on tasks.
Have excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
Be able to operate and multi-task in a challenging and dynamic environment while demonstrating planning, coordination and organizational and problem-solving skills.
Understand system engineering concepts and procedures, including how requirements are defined and how to trace the requirements through implementation and closeout.
This position can be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
This position is expected to pay $86,100 - $141,200 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 6 years of general experience; Master's degree and 4 years of general experience.
Must have 6 years of directly related experience in Quality Assurance to include project and process auditing.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
