Description of Duties:
This position has a $5k sign-on bonus
The Senior Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
Perform Systems Engineering and Project Management activities including, but not limited to:
Documentation and traceability matrix development
Test and Evaluation
Research and Development
Sustainment and operations throughout the entire life cycle of space programs
Be in a position that requires impact assessments of customer requests, briefing development and presentation, cross-organization coordination, testing and verification of delivered products and services, validation of documentation and verification of enterprise solutions under and IPT structure.
Report to the Lead Systems Engineer to develop and implement emerging satellite systems with the existing MDSEA enterprise (Research and Development (R&D)), MDS space to ground capabilities, and future operational systems.
Manage varied projects that include studies, analysis, detailed requirements definition, system engineering, preliminary and detailed system architecture designs, and system development of enterprise services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers to include all supporting facilities, infrastructure, networks, development, integration, logistics plans, cybersecurity and physical security protection plans, and supporting cost and schedule estimates for the development, fielding (launch), ground and flight test, and operations of planned space capabilities.
Provide technical support to the Control Account Manager in order to manage cost, schedule, and performance of assigned projects.
The successful candidate will:
Have strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Be willing, and able, to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal or no supervision.
Excel at working on multiple systems and components simultaneously in various configurations.
Be efficient and effective at performing systems engineering activities in support of agile teams.
Have experience creating and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
Be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking and communicate clearly regarding technical options and trade-offs.
Perform high quality work both independently and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.
Have experience creating and working with DODAF architectural views.
Possess a strong understanding of configuration management principles and procedures.
Be able to develop technical designs to satisfy system requirements and present the designs for engineering review board approval.
This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is expected to pay $105,600 - $168,975 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 8 years of general experience; Master's degree and 6 years of general experience.
Must have 7 years of directly related/specialized experience.
Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role.
Must have experience with hybrid (virtual and non-virtual) computing network requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
Must have experience with providing planning, direction, and coordination functions of multiple, concurrent task orders to ensure performance requirements and objectives are accomplished.
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Have experience and understanding of Software Defined-WAN technologies and concepts within the architecture development of virtual or cloud computing technologies.
Have current implementation experience with products such as VMware, AWS, Azure, or MilCloud.
Have DoD experience with classified data networks and strong grasp of red/black concepts and IA compliance.
Have experience with Missile Defense Agency or DoD customers.
Have experience implementing DevSecOps concepts.
Be proficient with Visio 2016 and Project programs.
Have knowledge of MDA classified networks.
