The government client requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or if not fully vaccinated to have an approved accommodation based on valid medical or religious reasons.

1. Full vaccination against COVID-19 will be required for any/all positions that will require travel.

2. For any/all positions that DO NOT require travel, full vaccination against COVID-19 will be required. Medical and Religious accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but may be precluded by mission requirements.

Full vaccination (against COVID-19) is defined as: an individual must be either two weeks past the last shot of a two-shot vaccination sequence, or two weeks past the only shot of a one-shot vaccination sequence. Description of Duties:

The System Administrator (LINUX-Cyber Focus) * _Evening Shift*_ supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

  • Build, configure, deploy, administer, maintain and troubleshoot virtual and physical servers/systems.

  • Utilize and follow developer-provided documentation to build and configure server/system hardware and software to baseline specifications.

  • Research technologies and leverage optimization techniques to ensure systems operate efficiently.

  • Perform necessary physical inspections and research using system/event logs, appropriate tools/software, etc… to identify problems, trends and aid in troubleshooting actions.

  • Provide timely updates to appropriate team leads, managers and stakeholders on status of tasks.

  • Collaborate and communicate with internal and external team members and customers as needed.

  • Identify developer-documentation errors and provide to appropriate channels/personnel for correction.

  • Use REMEDY ticketing system to report, track and document problem and resolution life-cycle actions on faulty systems.

This is an evening shift work position with core hours being 1500-2300 and may have to shift to overnight schedule to meet off-hour mission activities.

This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

This position is expected to pay $67,800 - $108,450 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 8 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 6 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 4 years of general experience; Master's degree and 2 years of general experience.

  • The government client requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or if not fully vaccinated to have an approved accommodation based on valid medical or religious reasons.   • Must have 4 years of related experience in business systems, operating systems, and servers and/or experience in light programming, project management of small initiatives, and troubleshooting

  • Must have experience building, configuring and deploying servers/systems using VMware 6.0 (or higher)

  • Must have administration experience using Linux 6/7 basic and advanced commands

  • Must have a current DoD approved 8570 Level II certification such as Security+ CE

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • Have basic or working knowledge of Ansible or Ansible Tower automation

  • Have basic or working knowledge of NetApp

  • Have basic or working knowledge of HBSS/ESS

  • Have basic or working knowledge of ACAS
