Jacobs Wastewater Operations Project Manager - Trinidad, CO in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Jacobs is seeking a Licensed Wastewater Operations Project Manager in Trinidad, CO. You’ll be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the project including profit and loss, permit compliance, safety, quality, and employee supervision and management including staffing, compensation, training and development. Working with other members of our team and the client you’ll build and maintain positive business and customer relationships, and be responsible for the planning, organization, operations, maintenance and improvement of the facility. You’ll also be responsible for implementing safety policy and procedures and maintaining the operation process control including compliance with regulatory agencies.

•    High school diploma or equivalent

•   Must obtain a Colorado Class A Wastewater Certification with 12 months of employment

•    5 plus years of experience in in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater facility

•    3 plus years of experience at a supervisory level 

•    Proficient performing mathematical and algebraic calculations associated with wastewater treatment 

•    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, data management systems and able to operate plant VFD’s, PLC’s and SCADA systems 

•    Valid driver’s license with no major infractions

Ideally, you'll also have:

•    Associates or College degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Business Administration

•    Possess a valid Operator’s License, or ability to obtain reciprocity

•    Capable of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule 

•    Expertise of the technical aspects of the facility 

•    Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
