Description

Jacobs is seeking a passionate Configuration Manager professional responsible for overall tracking and control of configuration items and assets ensuring changes are assessed, approved, and implemented in a controlled manner in order to maintain the integrity of all identified configuration items (CIs) throughout it's life cycle providing operational compliance. The Configuration Manager will have oversight of all asset and configuration management activities for the customer across multiple networks.

  • Serve as the primary interface for all asset and configuration management activities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and compliance with Asset, Change and Configuration Management Plans.

  • Utilize automated tools that incorporates active and passive discovery scanning to inventory and obtain configuration of IT assets.

  • Maintain inventory of licenses and assets, to include COTS products and versions, developer licenses, etc

  • Lead the performance of on-site inspections to validate inventory.

  • Establish, maintain, and promulgate change schedules containing details of the approved changes and their proposed deployment dates though the Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Change Control Board (CCB)

  • Responsible for managing and conducting Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Change Control Board (CCB) meetings

  • Establish and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to record, track and report the status of CIs and modifications.

  • Provide direction for developing Request for Change (RFC) protocol for all changes.

  • Maintain and manages the CMDB to ensure configuration items (CIs) and associated modified are properly recorded, tracked and status reported within the CMDB.

  • Ensures technical baselines and associated integrated architecture products are maintained and updated as required.

  • Provide direction and guidance on the required process for achieving Asset Management Establish and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to record, track and report the status of CIs and modifications.

  • Provide direction for developing Request for Change (RFC) protocol for all changes.

  • Maintain and manages the CMDB to ensure configuration items (CIs) and associated modified are properly recorded, tracked and status reported within the CMDB.

  • Ensures technical baselines and associated integrated architecture products are maintained and updated as required.

  • Provide direction and guidance on the required process for achieving Asset Management

  • Perform annual configuration audits to validate the system is accurately represented in Technical Baselines, Integrated Architecture Products, and design and installation documentation.

  • Maintains compliance with software licenses

  • Has an in-depth understanding of the concepts of defining hardware and software configuration processes and procedures

  • identification and recording of configurations that impact the security posture of the information system and the organization in accordance to NIST SP 800-128

Qualifications

  • This position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph Security Clearance, based on current background investigation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with NIST SP 800-128 guidelines

  • Demonstrated Asset and Configuration Management experience in support of a large-scale enterprise.

  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, developing, and execution of asset and configuration management process in compliance with JSIG and RMF Guidelines.

  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in an IT enterprise environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Skilled in the use of MS Office tools (i.e., Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
