Jacobs is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to support a prime contract in the Columbia, MD area.
In this role the ISSM will:
Provide support to the customer organizations in maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a systems, programs, or enclaves
Provide support to the Government on all matters (technical and otherwise) involving the security of the information system
Assist in the development and execution of an enterprise level continuous monitoring program to minimize security risks and ensure compliance with that program on a routine basis
Guide the development and updating of the system security plan, as well as managing and controlling changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes
Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement IT security programs and policies
Provide configuration management guidance for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology or related field or 4 years’ experience in lieu of degree plus five (5) to seven (7) years of directly related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications
Must have an in-depth knowledge of the information assurance processes and procedures as define in the Risk Management Framework and be familiar with the ICD503, CNSSI1253, NIST SPs 800-37, 800-53, etc.
Must have experience in several of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools
Must have familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization techniques, security incident management, and PKI and authorization services
IAM I certification (CAP, GSLC OR Security CE)
Active TS/SCI with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering is desired
Ten (10) years of related work experience in the field of information assurance or Six (6) years of related work experience in the field of information assurance and a Bachelor of Science degree
CAP or CASP strongly preferred
IAM Level III Certification (GSLC, CISM or CISSP) a plus
Working at a computer or desk (Considerations: Sitting, Eyes, Hands)
May involve long periods of sitting
An inside office environment (Considerations: Closed quarters, lighting, and temperature fluctuations)
Needs to be able to work well with and support co-workers and clients
Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills
