Jacobs is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager in Columbia, MD. Duties will include:

  • Responsible for cradle to grave government contractsadministration with experience supporting Intelligence Community and Departmentof Defense sectors

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of FAR and DFARrequirements

  • Strong knowledge with proposal preparation to includeexperience writing proposal narratives, ECPs, assisting in pricing strategy

  • Ability to communicate effectively and multi-task withboth internal and external clients in a fast paced, quick turn-aroundenvironment

  • Interact with all project functional such as technicalstaff, project control, finance, pricing, billing department and procurementorganizations

  • Ability to identify unique terms for Non-DisclosureAgreements, Teaming Agreements, OCI situations

  • Ability to organize and communicate negotiation resultsto senior management and ensure legal adequacy

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractualprocedures and practices



  • Active TS/SCI required

  • BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline froman accredited college or university, plus ten (10) to thirteen (13) years ofprogressive and relevant experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressiveexperience

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12 plus years of contracts experience

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing

  • Must be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization

Essential Job Functions

Physical Requirements:

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

Work Environment:

General office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimesinvolves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a highdegree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well asindividuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment and Machines:

Computer work required.Use of calculator, printer, fax, scanner,telephone, filing cabinets, and other standard office equipment is also required.


Attendance is critical at all times. Must be ableto work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However,times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to beavailable to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet lastminute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Other Essential Functions:

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward aprofessional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork andcooperation.Mustbe well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple taskssimultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadlinerequirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drugtest and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check.
