Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network and systems engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts on multiple networks. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software. Interacts with users regularly. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Interact with customers to handle service inquiries and problems. Provide support to the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Distinguish isolated user problems from enterprise-wide application/system problems. Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements. Works within a JIRA ticketing environment.
Duties include examining customer problems and implementing appropriate corrective action to initiate a repair or return. Analyze recurring problems, annotating, and initiates solutions for preventing reoccurrence. Work with systems and network engineers in implementing enterprise wide systems and technologies. Ability to install and troubleshoot workstations, thin clients, applications, printers/scanners, phones, and various other IT equipment. Here’s What You’ll Need:
4+ years of experience in systems administration and end-user support.
Required IAT Certs: one or more of the following: Sec+, CASP+, CISSP
Required Vendor Cert: one or more of the following: Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Netapp, Pure Storage, HP, Dell, Linux+, RedHat. If not currently achieved, then must achieve within 6 months of hire
