Jacobs is seeking a Systems Architect to join the team in Columbia, Maryland. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with visualization concepts, understands architecture and has an understanding of Rest API and JMS messaging services.
Design, develop, and implement software development tools
Develop and test software solutions, analyze system performance standards, and analyze system flow
Confer with users and management to derive system requirements
Problem investigation and resolution
Engineering with Microsoft Active Directory to include: granting privileged access, configuring Active Directory Services (ADDS), Group Policy, Objects, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), File Sharing services, Active Roles Server (ARS)
Create Detailed Design documents, Test Plans, Implementation Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Intermediate Powershell scripting experience
GPO/Admin Design experience
Cloud (AZURE) experience
The ability to rapidly master new applications and technology
One of the following certifications required: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
20 years’ of overall relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Five (5) or more years engineering experience in the design, development and implementation of software development tools to include developing and testing software solutions; analyzing system performance standards, analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; conferring with users and management to derive system requirements; problem investigation and resolution.
Engineering experience with Microsoft Active Directory to include: Granting privileged Access, Configuring Active Directory Services (ADDS), Group Policy, Objects, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), File Sharing services, Active roles Server (ARS).
Experience providing Tier 2 or 3 support in an enterprise level, globally distributed environment.
Experience creating quality Detailed Design documents, Test Plans, Implementation Plans and Standard Operating Procedures.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning.
- Knowledge of identity management tools is a plus.
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is always critical. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
