We are looking for a driven and passionate Mid-Level Highway/Roadway Engineer to support our transportation projects that focus on challenging highway, roadway, and interchange projects and pursuits. Your immediate assignments will be to oversee and manage transportation projects throughout Ohio and Michigan while performing preliminary and final design engineering and prepare construction plan documents to satisfy requirements for local and state roadway projects.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Ohio and/or Michigan (or PE license with ability to attain license in Ohio and/or Michigan within 6 months)

  • DOT and Local Public Agency (LPA) project experience

  • Demonstrated experience on various types of roadway design projects including design and plan development of new and rehabilitation highway projects

  • Proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer and a variety of transportation engineering analysis and design software

  • Understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO design guidelines to transportation projects.

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, time management skills

  • Demonstrated communication and writing skills including technical report writing

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • At least 10 years' progressive DOT experience

  • Established local and DOT client relationships

  • Some task lead or project management experience

  • An emphasis on transportation projects with prior DOT experience in Ohio and/or Michigan

  • Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects
