The Electronic and Physically Security Program team is looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager to join our team in Comstock, NY. You’ll will lead coordination with the design team, hold monthly pre-schedule meeting and monthly schedule update meetings, create bi-weekly reports and conduct bi-weekly project meetings keeping the client informed of project progress and challenges, assess impact of change requests or delays on the project schedule and budget, aid in resolving design issues should they arise, and review and assist client personnel with claim responses or contractor disputes. Must be able to manage the project using established controls/procedures and provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers and any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client/facility. You’ll also ensure compliance with the project specific construction management plan and timely completion of project work, along with monitor contractor’s schedule to ensure timely completion of project work, create and track field and change orders, oversee Inspector duties and coordinate with client’s Inspection personnel, to oversee safety and security, and track contractor submittals utilizing submittal exchange.

The initial project is expected to be multi-year with little to no travel, with subsequent project work available across statewide multi-year program. The role is a collaborative position within both the project and organization and offers the right person extensive opportunity to impact project, and overall program success. Here’s what you’ll need :

  • 8 years experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building rehabilitation projects

  • 4 years experience as an Assistant Project Manager

  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building and client relationship building

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects using established controls/procedures and provide project leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers, and resolve any critical issues pertinent to the project

  • OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Employment will require successful completion of a background check

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 software

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification

The base salary range for this position is $87,360 to $113,318. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
