Position Summary

Jacobs is seeking a qualified applicant for a Director of RF Projects position for our Telecom Group. The Director of RF Projects will provide technical leadership and manage daily operations of Telecom Technical Team.

  • Manage day-to-day operations related to a particular project(s) for the region

  • Must maintain and enforce the Jacobs Beyond Zero safety program, ensure daily safety plans are reviewed and followed. Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist

  • Lead and perform RF hardware design, requirements specifications, compliance analysis, RF simulations, product integration oversight and transition to production support

  • Manage team to achieve overall program Key Performance Objectives

  • Manage multiple competing tasks under compressed time frames

  • Build and maintain customer relationships

  • Identify new business opportunities along with partnering with business developent group to see expanded services within the market

  • Build trust through open and honest communication with the customer, project team and program management

  • Work with administration to review and ensure compliance with operational policies, proceures and systems

  • Lead with enthusiasm, energy and ambition

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering required

  • 15+ years of telecommunications industry required

  • Telecom related construction and RF experience required

  • Thorough understanding and experience completing both new build and site modification projects for wireless sites required

  • Strong managerial experience, as well as technical skills with RF Communications is required

  • Previous exposure to communications equipment and peripheral hardware installation of base stations, repeaters, mobile devices, and/or portable devices is required

  • Ability to coordinate work and share resources with other managers on the team is required

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a highly interdependent team of individual contributors preferred

  • Highly organized and disciplined with proven time management skills preferred

  • Strong computer background, MS Office, especially Word and Excel preferred

Requires US Citizenship or ability to work for any US Employer without visa sponsorship.

Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting up to 65 pounds. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
