Your Impact:

We're looking for a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in Conshohocken, PA who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce designs for electrical circuits and panels utilizing control applications, designs for control systems for a variety of processes, and develop options and optimizations for all aspects of the process control, instrumentation, and automation. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.

• Reporting to the I&C Department Manager the candidate will serve as an I&C Lead Engineer directing all I&C activities for engineering and design on the assigned project.

• Candidate will have experience working and managing domestic and international staff providing mentoring and training as required for successful project execution

• The I&C Lead Engineer will assure compliance with Client, Jacobs and industry standards on their assigned project.

• The Candidate will develop assigned project scope of works, manhour estimates, I&C Execution Plans and defines required resources for successful project execution. Will function as an I&C lead on projects as needed through all phases of project execution.

• The Lead I&C Engineer will identify manpower requirements and communicate to department manager regarding resources needed for project

• Perform tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices.

• Ability to communicate, train, effect change and implement improvements

• Must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Smartplant, Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering;

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as Control Systems Engineer

• Experience in Bio Pharma, Pharmaceutical & Lab process Instrumentation and controls

• Knowledge of International codes like ASME BPE, Dairy, Hygienic systems (Process, water system, Clean steam etc)

• Knowledgeable of life science industry Automation, DCS and PLC control systems, and development of P&ID’s, control system architectures and associated design deliverables and field instrumentation

• Must be able to travel to client’s facilities for presentations, site surveys and field assignments

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and an ability work in a collaborative environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

• Ability to collaborate with and lead international teams
