You will lead the Sustainability Life Sciences North America Organization with responsibility for the direction and our sustainability goals (environmental, social and governance) for projects within the in the Life Sciences North America portfolio. Ideal location for this position can be located in either Cary, North Carolina, Conshohocken, PA or Cincinnati, OH locations.

In this role you will report directly to the Life Science Director of Sustainability and participate in regular Life Sciences calls to manage and share key resources. You will also have very close relationships with Project, Design and Construction managers to help develop and integrate best practices with regards to sustainable solutions. You will also work very closely with the sales team and be required to support the sales activities

related to sustainability projects.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Sustainability Lead in Life Sciences projects and provide overall strategy, guidance and direction to the Operations, Project, and client teams.

  • Ability to identify, measure, and track key performance indicators with Sustainability efforts on projects.

  • Oversight and management of the Sustainability Group including recruitment, staffing, qualifications, training, competency, quality, change management, and delivery of engineering deliverables to budget & schedule.

  • You are the expert in sustainability and the go-to for individuals inside and outside of the business.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones side the company with questions on the subject

  • You will work cross-functionally across the organization to collaborate, influence, and promote sustainable solutions to our clients

  • Lead employees, cross-functional teams, and third-party consultants to execute on roadmap deliverables

  • Stay up to date on regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to the sustainability laws, regulations, trends, emerging issues & best practices that apply within the Life Sciences industry

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Architecture; Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering are preferred options.

  • LEED Accredited Professional qualification.

  • 8 years of experience in a sustainability/environmental focused role preferably within the Life Sciences market

  • Understanding of software and tools with reference to energy modelling and carbon calculations

  • Strong and creative understanding of sustainability aspects and challenges related to decarbonization, energy and water savings, sustainable materials etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences including, but not limited to executive/project leadership, key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
