Position Summary

On a high-level, you will be joining us todevelop life-changing and in many cases life-saving processsolutions for our clients. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Developing process flow diagrams todefine heat and material balance

  • Establishing a process design basis,developing process options and optimization of selected design

  • Designing and creating Process &Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

  • Preparing bid and purchase specifications for processing equipment (e.g. chromatography columns, pressure vessels, bioreactors, filtration skids)

  • Calculating loads for Clean Utilities, line sizing, and distribution design (e.g. water for injection, clean steam, process gases)

  • Participating in planning, cost development, and scheduling for assigned project

  • Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer

  • Calculating and organizing data for other Jacobs disciplines, such as instrument data for I&C or electrical loadings

  • Performing routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under supervision

  • Work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracyby a Senior Engineer

Qualifications

  • Candidate should be a self-motivated professional or a Senior pursuing an applicable engineering major from an accredited university

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, decision making capabilities, problem resolution skills, and a sense of initiative are important for this industry

  • Microsoft Office experience required; AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus

  • 0-2 years of experience required

  • BS or MS in chemical/mechanical/bio engineering required

  • EIT certificate is preferred
