Perform engineering analysis, design and field inspection primarily for Ports related structures. This includes waterfront marine wharves, piers, and bulkheads. Analysis responsibilities include using education and training in structural engineering to perform structural modeling primarily in STAAD Pro and some finite element work. Perform design using relevant design codes to size and detail structural members for capacity and serviceability criteria required. Field inspection duties will consist of assessing existing structures for damage and deterioration from land and water as well as site visits to gather data or inspect installations for design projects.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering, and 2 years of work experience as a Structural Engineer or a related occupation in ports related structures.

Specific skills include:

2 years of Applied Structural Analysis,

2 years of Applied Structural Design including Steel Design,

2 years of Structural Modeling Software,

2 years of Application of Structural Design Codes,

2 years of AutoCAD,

2 years of Finite Element Analysis Tools

Expertise/ knowledge of Pre-stress Concrete
