Jacobs Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Water Modeler in Corvallis, Oregon

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Water Modeler to join our Corvallis, Oregon office. As a member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on water and wastewater projects where you will play a crucial role in planning, design and real-world problem resolution. We’ll ask you to:

  • Assist and lead the design, planning and testing of numerical hydraulic models

  • Interpret model results and prepare written reports.

  • Contribute toproject proposals and weekly progress reports

  • Support senior engineers in the preparation of presentations for both internal and external audiences

  • Infrequent travel may be required.

'- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline

  • 5+ years' experience in water resources engineering

  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to work with a diverse team and commitment to excellent oral and written communication

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or a related Engineering discipline with a concentration in fluid dynamics.

  • Experience using CFD water modeling software (CFX, Fluent, OpenFOAM, Flow3D)

  • Experience with scripting and data processing including the use of Python

  • Experience using Linux OS and command line

  • Self-motivation

  • Strong data analysis & technical problem solving

  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask
