In this role as a Digital Delivery Lead (DDL) you’ll be assigned to design projects operating under the direction of the Design Manager (DM) for each project. You may have the opportunity to be assigned to more than one project simultaneously depending upon schedule, project requirements and project size and may consult on multiple projects across the region.
Plan, configure, implement, and support digital delivery on a project
Setup and guide project technical setup and model deliverables
Manages modeling effort and support for project team
Provides QC of work in progress and deliverables
Reviews client modeling and CAD standards
Enables model coordination
Facilitates BIM uses as defined in the BIM Project Execution Plan
Coordinates deliverables with project management team
Guides the coordination and implementation of integrated technologies to meet and exceed project goals.
Point of contact for project level technology and digital delivery questions and issues.
Coordinates and delivers technology training, including production of training material.
Guides the design teams and partners on project technology and digital delivery items.
Supports validation of systems and tools updates and new versions.
Serve as the projects BIM Subject Matter Expert for projects with the ability to trouble shoot problems both with the software and the way the users are using it.
Interact with client, client representatives and contractors on the technical aspects of the project design and delivery, works with teams to align BIM process with client expectations.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving questions or issues relative to the project Digital Delivery Plan, BIM development and work coordination.
Integrate sub-consultant and co-consultant contributions and provide clear instructions to project teams regarding BIM development, automation concepts, content management, data integration and related concepts.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or related technology or equivalent work experience.
Extensive experience (10 + years) with digital delivery concepts, data exchange, BIM technology, work sharing coordination and organization of multi-discipline design content in support of large facility based engineering design efforts.
5+ years experience with Bentley Plant tools or equivalent AEC software.
5+ years experience with Bentley ProjectWise for engineering content management.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent leadership ability; affects and motivates teams to take on new challenges.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to understand appropriate project communication at the management level and the client level. Can conduct meeting topics as assigned with professionalism and decorum while effectively getting the topic across.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Understands the goals of the organization and the project and will self-manage to deadlines keeping supervisor and/or design or project managers apprised of progress.
Highly proficient with computer tools in general and specifically understands the CAD/AEC/BIM environment with the potential for and support of data integration across all disciplines in a project environment.
Excellent Customer Service skills relative to both external clients and internal customers
Ideally You'll Also Have:
Knowledge of geospatial data management, data analysis and data visualization.
Experience with virtual design and review environments, including clash detection.
Experience with a multi-format CAD & BIM production environments and corresponding interoperability challenges
Knowledge of scripting languages and tools commonly used in data exchange and workflow automation environments.
Experience writing technical content for use within an organization for training, influencing teams, clients or for troubleshooting.
Background in computing technology, understands basic hardware, software and networking concepts, and has effective troubleshooting skills. Able to apply these skills to the complex project environment.
