Asset Inventory Manager

Description

This is a temporary position with an estimated duration of 5 months.

The Asset Inventory Manager position is located in Crystal City, VA and will support the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. This position will be responsible for:

  • Managing the property data for all IT assets.

  • Ensuring property is efficiently and effectively ordered, properly tracked, delivered promptly, and in-line with the requirement.

  • Establishing an F-35 JPO CIO approved IT asset management process and provide monthly assets summary reports

  • Ensuring all purchased items are entered into the DoD Property Accountability System (DPAS) and any other systems employed by F-35 JPO.

  • Ensuring full accountability for property in the DPAS.

  • Performing monthly updates, an annual Physical inventory and a report 30 days prior to the end of each period of performance.

  • Holding hand receipts for contractor-managed and security IT systems and network devices.

  • Tagging, identifying and tracking all F-35 Program equipment.

  • Disposing of equipment in accordance with F-35 program and DoD policies (Forms, guidelines, and procedures).

Qualifications

This position requires a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Information Technology or a related IT discipline and a minimum of two (2) years experience with all facets of DoD Asset Management for

server-client based computing environments. Demonstrated experience in executing Enterprise inventories, including techniques such as scanning, ongoing electronic inventory tracking, reconciling inventory and compiling reports. Demonstrated experience managing assets for multiple customers and tracking multiple funding sources such as Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

Demonstrated experience with DoD excess procedures for all qualified assets.

An active Secret security clearance is required.

Desired:

Demonstrated experience in installing an Asset Management system as part of a project

team delivered into production. Demonstrated experienced supervising a staff of 2-5 employees.

IAT Level III certification in IA in accordance with DoD 8570.01M “Information

Assurance Workforce Improvement Program” (or achieve within six months after TOA).

Essential Functions

Work Environment:

Inside office environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Physical Requirements:

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required. Must be able to lift and carry 15 lbs.

Equipment and Machines:

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.

Attendance:

Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice.

Other Essential Functions:

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain and retain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.

An active Secret security clearance is required.
