Jacobs Director, IT Enterprise Architecture - REMOTE in Dallas, Texas

As the Architecture Director, you’ll cultivate and drive the success of Jacobs’ Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice by designing, planning and implementing enterprise analysis to successfully deliver business strategies. Your contributions help our business structure our IT projects and policies to achieve desired business results, stay on top of industry trends and prevent disruptions. You’ll foster the day-to-day functionality of our EA as an internal consultancy, offering a portfolio of services to IT and business stakeholders. In this critical role, you’ll have a purview into and will directly impact other architecture-related activities and the respective roles associated with various business, information, solution and technical activities.

As a passionate hands-on leader, you’ll leverage your people management skills to help your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward. Your role keeps our company’s people, data and technology connected, and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful. 

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Thorough technical understanding of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), APIs, microservices, event-driven IT and advanced analytics. Mobile, custom development, RPA and ERP systems.

  • Extensive experience working with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.

  • TOGAF 9, Zachman and SABSA experience

  • Extensive experience with Cybersecurity Architecture and Tools

  • Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.

  • Highly developed process and people leadership skills.

  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of all components of holistic EA

  • Knowledge of business process engineering principles and processes.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field

  • At least 10 years of enterprise architecture experience or related functions with a minimum of 5 years of EA functional leadership experience in a complex and global organization.

  • Exceptional experience significantly contributing to complex initiatives such as:

  • Cloud migration

  • Digital Transformation

  • Advanced Analytics

  • Client-facing product and services development

U.S. Citizenship is required as this position will perform some work in a Federal environment
