The challenge?

The Manager of US Retirement Plans career path provides you with an opportunity to lead various employee benefits programs and initiatives.

As the Manager of US Retirement Plans, you work as part of a team and will provide deep functional, technical and strategic expertise in support of our employee benefits programs. You should have at least 10 years of experience in benefits plan management with a solid knowledge of ERISA, DOL, IRS and other employee benefit program compliance requirements. You should have a proven track record of benefit program oversight and compliance with a focus on U.S. 401(k) retirement savings plans and U.S. defined benefit pension plans. In addition, the ability and knowledge to oversee certain other employee benefit plans such as employee stock purchase plans is preferred. In addition, you should have a desire to grow personally and professionally with each complex challenge and display a strong commitment to quality, drive for results and client-focus.

The incumbent will:

  • Function as a senior level HR professional as the subject matter expert in the areas of qualified U.S. retirement benefit programs such as 401(k) and defined benefit pension plans

  • Be responsible for general program oversight and support to leadership, major programs and clients

  • Develop, lead and implement enterprise-wide and sometimes global employee benefits initiatives

  • Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert driving strategic planning, vendor selection, policies, governance, mergers/acquisitions and decision making in areas of expertise for enterprise leadership

  • Perform and/or oversee administration, communications, complex analyst duties, vendor negotiations, cost-driver analysis, cost-containments initiatives and recommends solutions to complex challenges

  • Work in partnership with the Sr. Director of Global Benefits, other Employee Benefits Plan Managers, Benefit Plan Analysts and Human Resources professionals to develop, implement and communicate employee benefit plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in HR, Business or related field

  • 10 years professional work experience in HR/Benefits

  • Knowledge of Plan governance, ERISA, DOL, IRS and other employee benefit program compliance requirements

  • Benefit Plan administration, consulting or HR Generalist experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate will also meet the preferred qualifications:

  • MBA/Masters degree preferred

  • 15 years professional work experience in HR/Benefits

  • Supervisory Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills
