We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Engineer in North Texas. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients’ water and wastewater challenges locally and worldwide.

You’ll be charged with designing water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities/processes for water and wastewater plants, conveyance systems, technical writing, and construction drawing and specification production. We’ll have you use your experience to lead the efforts in design pump stations for water and wastewater, including pipe sizing calculations, selection of pump type, process facilities (primary, secondary, tertiary, and solids treatment systems), rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, blowers), piping systems, valves, and appurtenances for in plant process piping, chemical systems, and hydraulic studies.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 

  • At least 10 years of experience in water/wastewater process mechanical engineering for municipal or industrial clients 

  • Detailed mechanical design experience for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems 

  • Led the technical design of water pumping stations that includes:

  • High-capacity raw water intake pumping stations with capacities of 20 Million Gallons per Day (MGD) and greater

  • high service potable water pumping stations with capacities of 5 MGD and greater

  • transfer or booster pumping stations of 5 MGD or greater

  • wastewater lift stations of 5 MGD and greater

  • low-head, high-capacity stormwater lift stations

  • Experience the encompasses preliminary and detailed design of pump stations, flow control facilities, large diameter pipeline design (36-inch and larger), pressure reducing facilities, transient flow and surge analysis

  • Experience in design and selection of multiple types of high and low-head hydroturbine systems that utilize centrifugal end suction pumps, vertical turbine pumps, multi-stage pumps and submersible pumps for water, wastewater and stormwater applications. Also includes the design and selection of multiple types of valves for isolation and flow control, as well as appurtenances required for multi-pump facilities.

  • Development and implementation of integrated pump station controls that includes motor control centers for bot single speed and variable speed pumps using variable frequency drives, flow monitoring and SCADA control systems.

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • Hydraulic Modeling experience 

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License 

  • In plant Piping System Design for water and wastewater systems experience 

  • Design implementation of rotating equipment and process treatment equipment 

  • Experience with Design-Build, CMAR/CM-GC and/or EPC projects 

  • Construction support services for water and wastewater projects
