Jacobs Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting in Dallas, Texas

As part of Jacobs’ Corporate Reporting team, you’ll join a group of strategically focused professionals who work with process owners worldwide. As the Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting, you’ll be actively engaged in reconciliation and research of equity accounts, global consolidation, annual valuation and true-up of 401k and pension plans, preparing quarterly and annual financial disclosures and related filings. You’ll collaborate across functions and various projects to ensure efficient and effective financial reporting and disclosure processes. Our team diligently ensures compliance with GAAP, company policies and procedures, SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • Proven success in previous relevant roles • CPA candidate

  • Exposure to consolidations, currency translation, and international accounting and reporting issues

  • Ability to collaborate with others

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and external auditors

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, and prioritize competing priorities

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and process improvement skills

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Public Accounting or Big 4 experience

  • CPA

  • Experience with a large ERP system (Oracle preferred), Hyperion Financial Management, WDesk Reporting Software

  • Exposure to employee benefit plan accounting and reporting
