We not onlydesign and build these facility systems assets but also operate, maintain, andmanage these facilities.

BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Fit for Test Engineer is responsible for the successful delivery of Prototype vehicles to test customers through the managing of Prototype vehicle build sign-offs and post-build vehicle updates, and assisting the Prototype Build Sites with build tracking and issue resolution related to these events.

Position Duties

  • Prototype build plan tracking tool development and execution, to assist with meeting vehicle build sign-off and delivery targets

  • Coordinate resolution of build issues, working cross-functionally with prototype build, Program Management, and Engineering, including hosting ‘Hard Rocks’ meetings

  • Build planning process development and improvement

  • Compile and document build discrepancies, and coordinate with Post Build Update team

  • Liaison for prototype build and the Engineering teams

  • Manage Fit for Test vehicle repair requests

  • Manage vehicle “grounding” event repair actions

  • Additional assignments as necessary to deliver corporate Prototype objectives

Qualifications

MINIMUMEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree from an accredited engineering school

  • Experience with data analysis

  • Strong project management skillset

  • Excellent understanding of overall product development process

  • Ability to adjust to changing requirements

  • Flexible work schedule

PreferredSkills

  • Prototype build experience

  • Experience leading/facilitating cross functional meetings

  • Vehicle Engineering (VE/VI) experience

  • Experience delivering program timing targets

  • Awareness of prototype and production tooling processes

  • 3 years of automotive product development experience

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Workhours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regularattendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regularattendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekendtesting requirements.
