Jacobs is the world’s top supplier of automotive test facilities, providing a full range of services to commercial automotive industry customers . Customers include not only the world’s major vehicle providers and other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), but also clients from the international motor sports community.

The Business Analyst is an entry level position for a degreed individual who is looking for learning and growth opportunities with a global organization.

BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Jacobs Technology is seeking individuals who are self-leaders, motivated, quick learners, and analytical to perform financial and accounting analysis work. Qualified candidates will be dedicated, professional and eager.

  • Experience working in the automotive field or testing and interfacing with engineers is desired.

  • Work responsibilities involve receiving input/data via Excel for various support teams as required.

  • Candidate will serve as point of contact for Financial / Data Collection review and distribution to teams. Individual will develop, track and distribute daily / monthly metrics.

  • Tasks will include advanced accounting / finance activities and metrics reporting.

  • Position focuses on process and method development in addition to data analysis. Interaction with all business levels in the organization will be required.

This position is full-time. Technicians are employees of Jacobs. This is NOT a contract position. You will be eligible for our generous benefit package, including health insurance, dental, vision, generous PTO, paid holidays, 401K, stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration or appropriate discipline

  • Financial acumen, strong team orientation, communication and organizational skills are necessary.

  • Moderate/advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and using the internet with Microsoft Explorer and Chrome.

  • Ability to use high level functions of Excel for calculations, formatting and data manipulation (including pivot tables)

  • Comfortable seeking data on SharePoint sites, manipulating formats, source data, and proficiency in database manipulation.

Criticality of Attendance

  • Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Other Essential Functions

  • Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and health performance exam.

  • Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects.

  • When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
