Sign-off Test Engineer


  • The Sign-off Test Coordinator is responsible for creating vehicle and breadboard specifications, coordinating test time and tracking test status to support Signoff for every program. Additionally, the Coordinator will capture and document vehicle and breadboard issues as they arise.

  • Create and/or update Vehicle and Breadboard Specifications to supply to Test Planning group

  • Understand the required deliverables and respective owner(s) associated with the testing and the gateways

  • Work collaboratively with requestors and test planning to complete their respective test time deliverables at each of the gateways

  • Manage and track test units and issues in support of milestones

  • Create and/or maintain all Test Plan documentation to report and communicate status

  • Support Vehicle debugging/diagnosing (DET, CANalizer, etc)


Project Deliverables

  • Create and develop Vehicle and Breadboard Specifications for units requested

  • Track and update test plans for Electrical units

  • Work collaboratively with test requestors and test planning to ensure all testing needs are captured on test plans

  • Ensure test plans are created and maintained to complete First Pass testing by deadline

  • Maintain test plans for late scheduled and follow-up items to complete by final deadline

  • Manage and track test units to ensure testing is continuing per schedule

  • Update test plans as issues arise – vehicles down for repair, vehicle not ready to test, etc.

  • Communicate test plan changes to users and test planners


  • Bachelors’ degree in engineering from an accredited school

  • Automotive Test Engineering experience preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, able to work with multiple people and manage a variety of projects simultaneously

  • Excellent English skills (Oral, reading, writing and listening)

  • Ability to communicate and interact well with others

  • Expert user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Project) and ability to work with Macros

  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills

  • Exceptional leadership skills and proven record

  • Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.

Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
