Jacobs HR Consultant in Dublin, Ireland

Your Impact:

Reporting to the HR Country manager, the HR consultant:

  • Advises and coaches leaders on HR Generalist matters

  • Support all people managers and employees assigned to their geography

  • Consult with managers on people related matters and operational HR support

  • Work closely with HR Manager, HR Delivery Director and HR Partners on executing programs and initiatives

Business Partnership

  • Is an objective and experienced Generalist HR Advisor to all managers and employee in Ireland

  • Provide coaching, guidance and expertise on areas to include:

  • Employee relations and performance management

  • Retaining and engaging employees

  • Employee development and career life cycle

  • Change management

  • Identify and mitigate areas of risks

  • Work closely with operations to save costs and improve performance

  • Strategy execution

  • Work closely with HR colleagues and CoE’s to understand and assist with the implementation of HR strategies and programs.

People:

  • Coach, mentor and contribute to the development of employees and managers

  • Partner with HR and COEs on projects providing input, and rolling out key actions

  • Share knowledge and expertise amongst the HR Team

Processes / Compliance:

  • Provide guidance to Managers with interpreting compliance, regulations, policies, procedures and employment laws / contractual obligations

  • Continuously review and suggest improvements to existing HR processes, practices, systems and tools

  • Draft new company policies and procedures when required to ensure compliance with employment legislation

  • Providing appropriate interventions in employee lifecycle process - e.g. offers, onboarding, talent management, absence, Benefits eg Income Protection, Global Mobility, payroll, pensions and HR analytics.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • CIPD or Equivalent

  • Generalist HR with Consultancy Company in locations across Ireland. Working in a geographically dispersed HR Team

  • Knowledge of HR systems, preferably Oracle HR.

  • Excellent Ireland Employment Law Knowledge

  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor

  • Able to identify and limit employment law risk to the company

  • Sound independent judgement

  • Innovative and solutions focused

  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

  • Negotiation & influencing skills

  • Project management

  • Able to travel to offices as and when required
