About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Building Services/Mechanical (HVAC) Design Technician to join our Irish team based in Sandyford, Dublin who is excited about working on advanced facilities projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and collaborate with a team of Engineers, Designers, and Subject Matter Experts (SME), you will help us engage with clients and subcontractors, designing some of the world’s most advanced facilities. You will design and draft mechanical systems for construction, including HVAC, Utilities, Plumbing and Fire Protection. Your role keeps our company connected and we will support you with what you need to be successful.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Technical or Associate’s degree/diploma in a relevant field.

  • At least 4 years of Revit HVAC design experience

  • At least 2 years of work with the design of building mechanical systems (HVAC, Utilities, Plumbing).

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written (CEFR level B2 English)

  • Ability to work in the Jacobs Sandyford office, Dublin

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams. 

  • Problem-solving skills, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas. 

  • Industrial design experience including high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor facilities, data centers, or similar.

  • Working knowledge or experience with any of the following software: Navisworks, AutoCAD, CADWorx or SmartPlant 3D.
