Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models and pipe supports for process and mechanical systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve them.

  • Generate isometrics.

  • Some experience in 3D piping design either on site or in a design office is required and having worked in the Pharma, Biotech or Oil & Gas industry is essential.

  • Performs routine tasks under close supervision using well-defined standards and procedures.

  • Gathers information, makes studies, performs calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present a design proposal.

  • Site visits with lead/senior designers will be required as projects dictate and encouraged to gain experience.

  • Reports administratively to the department manager and functionally as determined by the org chart on assigned projects.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • The candidate must have experience with industrial piping systems, in particular pharmaceutical and have complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. Further experience in bio-technology would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Having experience in leading a team of piping designers in the Pharma or a related industry is essential.

  • Proficient use of AutoCAD software is essential and knowledge in the use of 3D packages such as Autoplant would also be necessary.
