Jacobs Senior Process Engineering Opportunities in Dublin, Ireland

You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will establish process design basis, develop process options and optimizations of selected design, and calculate and organize data for process flow sheets. Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.

Role Outline

You will be a world class technical specialist in the design, operations and process development of secondary pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, such as oral solid dosage, vaccine manufacture and sterile fill/finish.

Experience in biotechnology substance manufacture would also be of interest.

As this is a senior position, we expect you will have at least ten years’ experience in responsible positions with identifiable achievements, e.g. successful technology transfer of product manufacture, process optimisations that increased yield, etc.

You will also have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing business, including technology, regulation, culture and economics.

  • Oral Solid Dosage

  • Blending

  • Granulation

  • Compression

  • Capsule Filling

  • Containment

  • Packaging

  • Sterile Fill / Finish

  • Compounding

  • Ampoules, Vials, Syringe Filling

  • Lyophilisation

  • Automated Inspection

  • Packaging

  • Clean Utilities – water, steam

  • Biotechnology

  • Cell Culture

  • Fermentation

  • Purification

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Primary degree in Chemical Engineering

  • At least ten years of experience working on pharma/biotech projects

  • Chartered or working towards Chartership.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
