About the opportunity
Jacobs is committed to playing a leadership role in Global Energy Transition. Our European and Global teams are growing and we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver our growing portfolio of Energy & Power projects across Europe and the wider business.
Our Energy & Power team provides a range of services to our Transmission and Distribution and Generation clients in addition to cross-market solutions to our non-energy clients. This includes work on transmission system assets, wind and solar farms, energy storage systems (including battery ) HVDC interconnectors, inertia systems, and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors.
You will be the main focal point (internal and external) for the delivery of projects. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and will be heart of the Energy Transition through enabling the development and delivery of critical Energy & Power programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
Accountability for the timely and cost effective delivery of client projects, meeting business and environmental objectives.
Leading and managing cross functional, multi-disciplinary teams, providing direction across the Functions to ensure delivery of client projects.
Influencing and supporting client project delivery through effective and proportionate planning, monitoring, controlling and reporting of performance.
Ensuring a fit for purpose Risk Management System is embedded in project decision making and championing the risk management process.
Managing change and the associated follow on activities, whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and management procedures.
Preparation of contract correspondence including Early Warnings, Contract Risk Registers, Claims and Compensation events (and associated communication registers) etc.
Understanding of requirements - ensuring clarity of identification, definition and specification of programmes and projects, to align with client business needs and context.
Develop and ensure that there are sufficient and appropriate controls in place to enable effective and consistent project delivery to time and budget.
Demonstrate visible leadership across Health, Safety and Well Being: ensuring the application of Client and Jacobs best practice for health, safety and wellbeing.
Liaison with the Jacobs Technical leadership teams to ensure we are pursuing opportunities, showcasing innovations, and broadening our offering
Manage resource allocation needs for delivery of the project including identification of critical resource requirements.

Essential:
Contracts Administration Experience – NEC experience is preferable, but others may include FIDIC, JCT etc.
Interdisciplinary problem solving
Collaborative leadership
Commercial Acumen and cost systems management (internal and external)
Lead interface and communication with the client, third parties and stakeholders
Desirable:
Chartered (CEng or other)
Programme and project delivery experience in the Energy sector
Ability to work across an organisation – from senior leadership to technical talent on the ground.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
