We are looking for a Senior Transport Planner - Transport Appraisal Specialist to join our growing team located in Dublin, Cork and Belfast. with strong experience in application of the Common Appraisal Framework (CAF), Project Appraisal Guidelines (PAG), The Public Spending Code, and other complementary appraisal guidance to inform feasibility and funding submissions for soft and hard infrastructure projects of varied scales.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate technical experience in assessing feasibility of various forms of transport infrastructure assets e.g. like highways, bridges, buses, rail and light rail through different appraisal stages for successfully attracting funding through a range of local and national sources.

Occasional travel within Ireland, to the UK and/or overseas may be required.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Degree qualifications – Level 8 or equivalent in a relevant transportation planning/ engineering / economics / maths and/or other discipline;
Ability to work both as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems;
A creative, solution-oriented individual, with a strong technical background, solid understanding of economic and financial appraisal first principles and demonstrable experience;
In-depth knowledge / understanding of PAG, CAF and other complementary appraisal guidance, and their application for development of transport infrastructure projects;
Highly numerate, with proven analytical skills for transport appraisal market;
Proficient in MS Excel and other data analysis tools for the transport appraisal;
Experience with TUBA, COBA software packages;
Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely;
Desire to collaborate and innovate with many different teams;
Flexibility to manage diverse workload, assist with new business opportunities and embrace emerging technologies, product solutions and the future evolution of the industry;
Experience of project and client management, covering programme, resources, finance and quality control; and
Have achieved or be working towards Chartered Engineer or other relevant professional e.g. Engineers Ireland, CIHT, TPP, CEng.
