You will help shape and lead our critical people initiatives to create an employee lifecycle experience that results in a more engaged, committed, and talented team of people and leaders to drive our business growth and success.

Cyber/Intel leaders are based in various US locations leading a workforce predominantly in the National Capital Region. This position can be performed remotely as a Teleworker or can be based in a Jacobs office.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Position reports the Sr Vice President of the Cyber/Intel Business Unit with a dotted line reporting to the Critical Mission Solutions Vice President of Human Resources

  • You will be empowered to bring innovation and creativity as a key leader in all areas that impact Human Resources with a focus on delivering operational efficiencies, improving the employee experience, and partnering to co-create the Cyber/Intel employee value proposition.

  • In partnership with the Business Unit executive leadership you will help develop and implement employee culture initiatives that emphasizes talent development, employee satisfaction, inclusion and diversity, health and engagement to reduce team member attrition and improve employee wellbeing.

  • As a forward-thinking inclusive leader, foster growth of a high performing HR team ensuring quality of people support to the business

  • As a human capital thought leader, you will have opportunities to create and shape People-related communications and outreach activities to include the alignment and implementation of a business area wide set of people policies, in alignment with corporate policies, to include providing guidance and input on total rewards, compensation and workplace guidelines and work schedule

  • In collaboration with corporate HR, provide leadership and support in talent/performance management, succession planning, compensation, employee relations, leadership development, employee engagement, retention strategies, change management and diversity and inclusion initiatives and merger & acquisition integration activities.

  • Ensure compliance and provide guidance in interpreting and applying HR policy, procedures, employment law and contractual obligations.

  • You will partner with the Cyber/Intel Talent Acquisition leadership to build creative and effective talent solutions to build workforce forecasts, employee re-engagement & redeployment initiatives, build the Cyber/Intel employee brand and a world class employee onboarding experience

  • You will be a key people leader engaged in many large new business pursuits advising and providing guidance on key areas of human capital relating to the capture of growth programs

  • Leverage workforce data and analytics to assess best practices and areas for improvement.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and SHRM CP / SHRM SCP Certification preferred

  • A highly qualified candidate will have at least 10 years of senior level human resources experience with demonstrated success in creating and motivating effective teams and initiatives. Additional qualifications to be effective in the role include:

  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization to inspire trust, confidence and consensus building among a diverse set of stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated by the ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis as it relates to human capital

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and lead complex organizational change initiatives in a dynamic environment.

  • Thorough talent & organizational capability planning and development skills with particular focus on assessing employee populations, benchmarking talent, and implementing development programs.

  • Well organized, having excellent leadership and managerial skills, and the flexibility and adaptability to be able to change direction instantly to meet the dynamic needs of this growing, changing organization.

  • Stay current on industry trends and HR best practices including latest trends impacting prime federal contractors to include OFCCP & EEO

  • Experience researching and interpreting foreign labor laws as it relates to US persons doing business abroad

  • A leader with demonstrated strategic abilities, excellent and current technical HR competencies, demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and an excellent work ethic.

  • Absolute integrity, outstanding collaboration, and communications skills, as well as passion, courage, and creativity

  • Effectively works with others across the global organization and various functions (within and outside of HR).

  • Develops and leverages meaningful partnership with the global HR team to include HR Functions (Centers of Expertise, i.e. Benefits, Compensation, Compliance, ER/LR, etc.) to support Cyber/Intel workforce and global initiatives.

  • Executive presence in verbal presentation and written mediums

  • Experience managing to Key Performance Indicators and budget oversight

  • Conflict management and employee relations expertise

  • Ability to lead initiatives and support teams virtually through the use of Microsoft Teams

  • Travel, as required, to Jacobs corporate and customer locations and industry events is vital to the success of the role. Jacobs is observing strict precautions to prioritize health and safety of their employees during the COVID 19 pandemic

Must be a US Citizen and must have ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security clearance at appropriate level for position

Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements: Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.

Work Environment: Home Office or Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Equipment and Machines: Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (90%).

Attendance: Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one-hour notice. Overtime is important when required (5-10%).

Travel: Must have the ability to travel as required (estimated 10-25%)
