Are you a skilled licensed Wastewater Operator and want to join Jacobs’ collaborative team in Duncan, OK? Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager where you’ll be groomed for the next step of assuming a Project Management position. You’ll work with project leadership and staff to assist in supervising daily Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities as well as work with the Project Manager to learn O&M systems and tools to provide superior client support. Working with other members of our team you'll organize and direct the operations, maintenance, and improvement of one wastewater treatment plant and appurtenant facilities. You'll also analyze operational process control procedures, maintenance procedures, and institute changes when necessary to achieve full compliance with regulatory agency water quality and solids disposal requirements and be responsible for accurate operational records and prepare reports required by the client, regulatory agencies, and regional manager. Also, you'll be responsible for the implementation of an industrial pretreatment program and recommendations to ensure regulatory compliance.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Advanced experience in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment facility

  • Experience managing projects of similar scope and size. Demonstrated ability to lead (coach and supervise) project teams.

  • Oklahoma Class B Wastewater Operators License, or experience and education to obtain within 1 year.

  • Oklahoma Class B Wastewater Lab Operators License, or experience and education to obtain within 1 year.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster strong client relationships.

  • Proficient in performing all technical requirements associated with a a water/wastewater treatment facility.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data management systems.

  • Valid driver’s license with no major infractions

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Associates or College degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Business Administration

  • Capable of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule.

  • Advanced interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain credibility across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to build and foster strong collaborative client relationships. Experience working with clients directly.

  • Experience with the operations and maintenance of lift stations.

  • Strong business acumen, including demonstrated ability to manage budgets.

  • Experience in utilizing CMMS Programs for preventive and corrective maintenance.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate teams and to respond to emergency situations.

  • Experience in compliance monitoring and reporting.

  • Understanding of Local, State, and Federal regulations.

  • Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong technical problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of the technical aspects of the facility to be managed.

  • Experience developing and working within an approved budget. Specifically tracking costs, adjusting activities to stay on budget, and optimizing labor and materials.

  • Proficient with financial budgeting and reports, specifically experience preparing operational reports for both internal and external clients.
