Jacobs is seeking a Media Replication Specialist to work on a contract in Aberdeen, MD. Duties include:

  • Work with team to accurately and efficiently replicate and label customer software to various media types (CD, DVD, SD card, Hard drive, floppy disk)

  • Assemble replicated media into SW baseline sets and ship per customer guidance to specified locations

  • Track all work (labor hours, materials used, etc) via online workflow system

  • Provide helpful and positive support to customers to identify and resolve issues


  • Must be a US Citizen or certified to work in the United States. An Active or Interim Secret Clearance

  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a data processing environment, or any equivalent combination of education or experience for a total of three (3) years. Progressive relevant training and/or certification in appropriate discipline may be substituted for one (1) year of the education or experience requirement

  • High School or GED

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong Word, Excel and other MS office skills

  • Able to understand and execute complex instructions

  • Detail oriented and highly organized

  • Team player

  • Able to work under pressure

Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements:

Some work will be done at a desk or computer but most work is performed on the lab floor. A large proportion of the work is performed while standing or walking.

Work Environment:

General lab environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment & Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Media replication equipment including CD/DVD, SD card, floppy disk and hard drive replicators; various types of label printers/machines for all media; CD/DVD sleeving machines; tools for packaging and shipping lab output.


Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday.  However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen or certified to work in the US.
