During the past 20 years the company’s transport consultancyteam has developed an impressive array of skills and a considerable trackrecord of achievement. Our extensive portfolio of projects involves workingwith various major clients in the transport industry, including localauthorities, private sector and government, throughout the UK and Ireland. Wealso have an extensive track record overseas providing services in MainlandEurope, India, the Middle East, South America, the United States of America andAsia.

We currentlyhave an opportunity within the Transport Consultancy section of our Edinburgh officefor a Technician. The Technician’s role would offer the individual excellentprospects and would include structured training, a competitive salary and,where possible, day release to attend approved college courses (as well asfunding for those courses).

The role will involve providing support toengineers on a range of transport planning projects, including assisting intransportation assessments (use of GIS), traffic engineering design (use ofAutoCAD) and traffic and junction modelling.

Qualifications

It is a requirement that the candidate has 5 National 5s at Grade C orabove (or equivalent) and have achieved Higher Grades in Mathematics or Physics.It is desirable that the candidate have a Higher Grade in English.Other key skills include:

  • Strong Mathematical skills

  • Strong Computer software skills

  • Strong team working capabilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Strong attention to detail.
