Your Impact:

When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve our tomorrow. We’re seeking a strong technical and sales-oriented project manager to profitably grow our Oil & Gas and mining opportunities and successfully pilot these projects through delivery. You’ll apply your technical experience in remedial investigation, design, and construction to develop strategies while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team.

As a Senior Project Manager for our environmental services group, you’ll interact with clients to grow our business. You’ll participate on a well-established program delivery team and will provide leadership to enhance our collective understanding of how to deliver on client desired outcomes and gain strong client satisfaction scores. You’ll manage the technical and operational aspects of a variety of projects related to remedial investigations and feasibility studies, implementation of a variety of remedial technologies, risk assessment, remedial design, and construction. We’ll rely on you to understand client challenges and opportunities, form and lead project teams to implement a solution, and successfully deliver high quality work on time and on budget. You’ll collaborate on strategies for execution of the Scope of Work contained in contracts and task orders, development of proposal responses, including technical approach development and pricing, and assignment of key personnel. You’ll interact with stakeholders and regulatory agencies in Western Canada, collaborating and advocating with regulators on behalf of our clients.

You'll also participate in business development efforts, leading proposal teams to bid and win large scale projects, identify and target opportunities with our existing and other potential clients, and sell a “One Jacobs” model to our clients. You'll use your knowledge of the marketplace and business acumen to promote strategic growth for the characterization and remediation group within Western Canada and North America.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related field

  • Professional experience working with energy, municipal, chemicals, manufacturing, and mining clients as part of an environmental team focused on characterization and remediation services

  • Functional knowledge of provincial and federal regulatory structures and requirements related to energy and mining characterization and remediation projects

  • Client Portfolio management and business development experience

  • Experience in account management, and in positioning for, preparing proposals, and winning environmental projects

  • Expertise in project financial management

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • High level existing contacts and strong relationships with energy, municipal, chemical, manufacturing and mining clients

  • Experience managing large Environmental Programs

  • Professional license in Engineering, Geoscience or related field

  • Project Management Professional designation
